Setup Google Calendar Integration with Tandora Chatbot

You will need to obtain credentials from your google account before setting up your Google Calendar with Tandora Chatbot.

Steps to obtain Google Calendar credentials:

  1. Visit https://console.developers.google.com/ 
  2. Click the hamburger menu at the top left corner.
  3. Select APIs & Services -> credentials.
  4. You will be asked to select a project now. If you haven't yet created a project, click Create Project button and fill in the required details. 
  5. In the search box, type calendar.
  6. In the results, click on Google Calendar API
  7. Click Enable
  8. Click Credentials at the left side pane.
  9. Now click Create Credentials and then choose Service account.
  10. Enter service account name as tandora-chatbot-google-calendar
  11. Enter a description in Service account description
  12. Click Create and Continue.
  13. Now skip to the 3rd step and click Done.
  14. Under Service Accounts section, in the right corner, click Manage service accounts.
  15. Click the service account with name tandora-chatbot-google-calendar
  16. Click Keys.   (3rd menu in top)
  17. Click Add Key and Click Create new key.
  18. Select key type as JSON
  19. Now the key file will be saved in your system.
  20. Open the key file using  any text editor.
  21. Select all the content and copy it.

Once the credentials are copied, head over to this link https://app-chatbot.tandora.co/staff/integrations/google-calendar/

  1. Check Active field.
  2. Paste the credentials you copied into credentials box.
  3. Under calendar id box, enter the gmail id associated with the google account you used to generate the credentials.
  4. Modify calendar new event title and description if required.
  5. Click Submit.

Your integration is now active.
